Description: Boglen Terrier is a small-frame breed mixed with a Beagle and a Boston Terrier. These dogs are loveable family pets who are petite in size and playful by nature. Bolgen Terriers have a muscular body, long legs, slightly protruding eyes, floppy ears and a square muzzle. They are known for being smart and kind people-pleasers.

History: The Bolgen Terrier breed is made by crossing purebred Boston Terrier and Beagles. The history of this designer breed is poorly documented. Breeders say that to understand the history of the Bolgen Terrier, the history of their parent breeds must be known. Beagles, the breed Bolgen Terriers get a lot of their personality traits from, are said to be from before the Roman times and were a mix between English Hounds and the Harrier. They came to the United States in 1642 and were recognized by the American Kennel Club (AKC) in 1885. Around 1870, a Bostonian man brought a dog mixed with Bulldog and English White Terrier into Boston and this is the original ancestor to the Boston Terriers. The dog’s name was Judge. The Boston Terrier was accepted by the AKC in 1893.
First Registered by the AKC: The Boglen Terrier is not recognized by the American Kennel Club, as it is considered to be a hybrid breed.
